HOW INVESTOR PSYCHOLOGY AFFECTS US ALL – April 16, 2025
HOW INVESTOR PSYCHOLOGY AFFECTS US ALL
Our speaker this month is Ken Kaszak. He is an investment advisor and author. Mr. Kaszak also teaches a class in Behavioral Finance. The class does not discuss specific stocks, bonds, or mutual funds.
His presentation will focus on “Biased Behavior” and how one’s life and experiences impact their financial decisions. This is not a seminar disguised as a sales pitch; it is an insightful and entertaining discussion of a subject that is only now starting to get the attention it deserves.
Traditional finance assumes investors make rational decisions based on all available information, while behavioral finance studies how psychological biases and emotions influence investor behavior, often leading to irrational decisions and market anomalies that traditional finance cannot fully explain; essentially, traditional finance focuses on “how people should behave” in the market, while behavioral finance focuses on “how people actually behave.”
