Western PA Passenger Rail Service – Recent History and Latest Developments – Presenter, Mark Spada
We will review the history of western PA passenger rail service beginning shortly before the creation of Amtrak leading up to today, as well as look at future developments.
Mark Spada is President of Western Pennsylvanians for Passenger Rail (WPPR), a volunteer advocacy group for increased western PA passenger rail service, and a council member of Rail Passengers Association (RPA), the national advocacy organization. He has given testimony and presentations to state legislative committees, local and county officials, and community organizations and leaders about the importance of and need for enhanced passenger rail service.
