Allegheny County’s Earliest Aviation History – May 21, 2025

Sue Morris and Brian Butko will present fascinating tales that take you back to the dawn of aviation as Ms. Morris dives into the history of Bettis Airport. This 1920s field was once the epicenter of Pittsburgh aviation, a hub of thrilling aerial adventures from barnstorming to commercial and passenger flight. Featuring a cast of daring, larger-than-life characters, the book captures the exciting, early years of flying.
